Mercury Retrograde Is Coming And You're Freaking Out. Here's How To Rock It Instead

You're in for some Mercury Retrograde action this month, and it's going to throw you for a loop. Your brain is going to feel like it's on fire as your thoughts get scattered, and everything you've been working toward will feel like it's slipping through your fingers.


But don't worry! Mercury Retrograde is totally normal and happens 3-4 times every year. It's just a time when the planet Mercury appears to be moving backwards in the sky, so everything gets turned upside down. And while it might seem like the universe is conspiring against you, this little phenomenon actually serves as an important reminder that things are never as bad as they seem—and that all of our plans are just a stepping stone toward something better.


So what do you do? Here are some of my tips to rocking it:


  1. Take a few deep breaths when you are feeling out of control.

  2. Take stock of where you are right now and know that you can always start fresh when Mercury Retrograde ends on June 3rd, 2022. Everything is temporary.

  3. Be careful with your communications and ensure that you read all the fine details before signing off on projects, important paperwork, or contracts, as well as emails.

  4. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

  5. Say "no" to toxic friends, family, and past lovers. You deserve better!

  6. Reconnect with friends and family who bring you joy and are "drama" free.

  7. Indulge in relaxation and things that bring you comfort.

  8. Take things day by day and be patient with others but most importantly with yourself.

  9. Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reflection and goal-setting. If you're feeling overwhelmed by all that's coming at you, this period is a perfect opportunity to look back on what has worked in the past and create a plan based on that knowledge. This can help you achieve your goals more easily once Mercury Retrograde ends!

  10. Be an active listener. Learn to listen to understand verses listening to respond.

  11. Connect yourself with nature. Going barefoot outside can help you ground.

  12. Focus on well being. Eat a nourishing meal. Get plenty of H20 and Rest.

Even though retrogrades can feel negative, they are often the perfect time to slow down and take a breather. The busyness of everyday life can be paralyzing, so why not make the most of this time and reflect on your life - where you want to be in one year, five years, or even ten years? What dreams have you abandoned that you need to re-visit? Mercury Retrograde is an ideal time when we can make those changes.... if we remember to slow down.
